Special Rates

This module perfectly supports the IBE, because besides your BAR rate (best available rate), visitors will discover your early-booker rates or last-minute offers. We feel that the guest has to return something to you, for receiving these special rates.

That could be in form of more stringent cancellation policies or restrictions such as a pre-defined minimum length of stay. The so-called "Stay Controls" can be managed within the CRS in three different ways:

• On the property level (valid for all categories)
• On the room level (standard rooms are treated differently than suites)
• On the rate level

Using this module, you can also set "block pricing" and establish special conditions for additional nights. Maybe, the package can only be extended with a mandatory European plan?

The final touch of this module is the ability to work with “linked rates”. Special rates and corporate rates are tied to the daily rate which minimizes the maintenance effort, while reducing the risk of mistakes within the CRS
 

Linked Rates

Successful revenue management means utilizing special promotional rates. Business customers are a crucial element for business hotels. But besides the basic rate structure, a wide variety of other rates needs to be maintained on a daily basis.

hotelwebservice has reacted to this development and programmed an additional module for the so-called "linked rates". The goal is to once again save valuable time and to have the user enter data only one time. Basic rates are built and all higher rates are set based on pre-defined parameters. These rates then follow what is called "sequencing" and are tied to the base rates based on:

• either fixed Euro amounts (plus/minus)
• or in defined percentages (added or subtracted)

The system is variable, meaning that you can define the added or reduced amounts as flexible as you need them. For example, if you reduce the price by 5% for one person, the system can be set to deduct 10% if two people book, or offer no discounts at all for children. All amounts can be rounded according to your pre-set parameters.

Your business guest during a trade fair? No problem with linked rates if your contract calls for a certain amount to be added to the corporate rate during a fair. With defined dates, you will always have the right rate loaded.
