Issue
After the conclusion of ITB 2005, Wellness Hotels Deutschland (WHD) started their search for a knowledgeable partner for the complete re-launch of their brand and website.
Package offers the hotels published on their own website and with their respective CD, had to be published on the WHD website as well, but following their CD. That task needed to be accomplished without creating any additional workload for the user.
The scope of the massive project was multifaceted. On one side, additional value had to be created for the participating hotels. On the other side, the effort for data entry and the annual reconciliation of all member hotels for a variety of distribution channels had to be kept at a minimum.
Last, but not least, the existing structure of various systems previously used for catalog design, hosting the picture data bank, the CMS and the statistical tool, had to be consolidated into one single platform, allowing to additionally incorporate the central booking engine.
Strating Point
The brilliant web design exceeded the high expectations for the re-branding and led to the encouragement of participating hotels to re-think and update their own internet presentation.
The high-tech Enterprise CMS by hotelwebservice enabled the marketing partner to allow the participating hotels to be booked via a central website and to provide interested hotels with a booking mask they hotels could install on their respective websites without any start-up cost.
The synchronization of data in between the marketing partner and the participating hotels were configured for a two-way information flow, communicating booking requests or interest in gift certificates to the hotels via the system, but also allowing the hotels to update their availability on both, the WHD website and their own.
The utilization of the system’s intranet function and the central data capture also improved the hosting of the catalog data.
